Negative pregnancy test, missed period - can anyone help please?

I am 2 days late for my period but have taken several tests which have all come back negative. My cycle is regular as clockwork so I am very concerned. I have been having symptoms of pregnancy so I am really confused. Can anyone offer any advice please? Thanks.
