Will a gas oven work if it comes with a 3 pin plug but isn't plugged in?

Actually some gas cookers with electronic igniters will not work unless plugged in..the reason being when you turn it on the ignitor is electronic and it has to tell the sensor it is on before a valve that is electronically controlled in it will open to allow the flow of gas to start ..if your cooker has this type of electronically controlled gas valve..it will not release any gas to light at all...some will and some wont..depending on the type and model...
