McCain and a blitz of lies ?

I just read the ysis of the campaign strategy McCain must follow to stay in the race. It's said his only chance is step up the blitz of lies against Obama. Since most of the Lies are so easily debunked, do you think it might backfire worse than it has so far ? I was a McCain supporter until I got sick of the Muslim lies and the fact that even though he claims to support combat veterans, he has never voted in favor of funding the VA. I mean, can the American people get tired of his BS ?
