North Carolina Bermuda Gr Help Please?

I live near Raleigh NC...we sodded our house late last summer (Sept 2006) with Bermuda, and until the cold hit, it looked great and thrived. I was expecting it to green up faster by this time (late May 2007), but it's still very patchy. A local greenskeeper advised me to put down some 10-10-10, which I did a few weeks ago. I've also watered every few days to battle the lack of rain. But to be honest I have not seen any big difference. Is it still too early to expect a more substantially green bermuda lawn? Some say more water is needed due to drought, but we sodded bermuda due to that fact, and because our lawn gets a lot of sun. Thanks so much for any advice in advance!
