What's the most unusual thing that's happened to you while petsitting?

I was pet sitting in a rather large 2 story house and had 3 min. schnauzers to look after. These dogs barked all of the time when outside, the owners insisted they get to go out and do as they please in their really big yard. So one day in the mail was a letter from one of the neighbors telling how frustrated they were with these dogs. It gave me a creepy feeling, but i went ahead with my day and would talk to the owners when they returned about it. About dark I was in the kitchen with them and we all heard this giant crash! the dogs went flying outside with me after them. Someone had pulled a giant wire dog cage and blocked their dog door then ran out threw the side gate leaving it open. What an awful feeling to know someone was watching the house and trying to stop the dogs from getting out. It was a very sleepless night inside a big house that made alot of noise anyway. Very Scary!!
