Im 18 years old, a little over 300 pounds, my bmi is 48, and i read that to qualify for the surgery it should be at least 40. I have tried and tried to lose weight with diets and lifestyle changes and all that, but nothing works. Actually some gas cookers with electronic igniters will not work unless plugged in..the reason being when you turn it on the ignitor is electronic and it has to tell the sensor it is on before a valve that is electronically controlled in it will open to allow the flow of gas to start ..if your cooker has this type of electronically controlled gas valve..it will not release any gas to light at all...some will and some wont..depending on the type and model...

Can implantation bleeding occur anytime?

Alrighty...i had unprotected on the 19th...and with a condom on the 27th. i started having light spotting that has fit the description of implantation bleeding on the 29th, and tenderness and cramps and fatigue and all that prengnacy greatness. But when i counted days of when i should ovulate thats right at the time i was spotting. The first day of my last period was the 14th and i'm due to start on the 12th or so. So, I come from a slightly unusual background. My mom is a mormon and my dad is a United Methodist. I was baptized in the Mormon Church when I was 8 (I really just wanted to be dunked in the water. I didn't really care about religion then) and was recently confirmed in the United Methodist Church at the age of 13. Both churches have very different beliefs. I prefer the United Methodist, but I also love my mormon friends at the other church even though I don't go. Volvo 940 - Oil in the Coolant ??

I have a 1992 Volvo 940 with 260K miles. I am seeing evidence of oil in the coolant - it looks like light brown gooey slime floating on top of the coolant in the reservoir - but I am not seeing any evidence of coolant in the oil. Other that that, the car runs normally, no problems. Any ideas ? Is the head gasket on its way out ?

About first aid,, pls. help?

As an EMT-B, the first thing besides scene safety and BSI (body substance isolation) is your ABC's ( Airway, Breathing, Circulation). Here is what I would do in this scenario. If I was able to safey get to the patient and treat her (if the rescuer gets hurt than there are now two patients, the rescuer and the original patient. That is NOT a good thing to have happen) First, I would check her airway. Obviuosly in this case the MOI (Mechanism of injury would most likely be smoke inhalation). Does she have a clear airway? While I am checking for that I am also checking for breathing by looking for rise and fall of the chest. Do I feel a breath on my cheek? Can I hear air movement? I would also do a brief look over of the face. This will give me a good indicator of a burned airway which could leading to swelling and losing a good airway. Is there soot or burned hair in the nose? Soot in the mouth? What about the eyelashes and eyebrows, were they burnt? Are her lips pale and bluish? With all those in mind, what is her breathing rate? IS she breathing at least 12 per min? Is there wheezing? If she isn't breathing than I need to use a BVM(Bag valve mask ) on high flow O2. If she is breathing a NRB (Non-rebreather mask with O2) would be fine. When I check my ABC's and there is no pulse, I would start CPR and bagging her with the BVM. If the hospital is far away than I would have my partner go ahead and call for ALS to intercept. Either way she needs to be moved quickly to get her to definitive care (hospital). That summary serves as a immediate care summary for this patient on the first treatment she should receive. Depending on your certification ( Intermediate EMT etc) in your state you may or may not be able to intubate her which is what she needs to maintain her airway before swelling sets in and you are screwed in getting a good airway then if any at all. I hope this helps to explain the first first few mins. of treatment on scene.

ok well keep trying to boot up your computer and if those errors keep appearing, the same exact ones, letter for letter, number for number, it is more than likely that you at least one bad RAM stick. if it's only one that is bad (if u have more than one). open up your computer, powered off and unplugged, and remove one RAM stick and boot the computer, if it works that means the one u removed must be replaced for optimal performance, if it doesn't boot swap the RAM sticks, if that doesn't work than both RAM sticks may be bad. Why is my wife so frigid and inattentive?

The best I get from my wife is a peck on the lips and a lot of empty promises regarding adult activities. I am so frustrated. I have run the gamete of showering with gifts, complements, weekends away, love notes, texts, and praise in front of others to totally ignoring her and sleeping other places in the house. No Change, no reaction, nothing!! She is a zombie and more of a roommate than a wife or lover? She is 48 I am 46 and we have one child, age 7. She and I both work full time. She is very pragmatic about chores, daily tasks, our son and her job. She is very attentive to her old college friends, both male and female, and seems excited when they are around. She insists on splitting every bill regardless of how big or insignificant. She also insists on equal time for everything such kid after school activities, mowing the lawn, groceries, etc. She will not initiate anything like vacations or other activities other than for or with her friends. Its sad and I have no answers. I feel very very trapped. I would leave if not for our son.

Hello, i am so scared. I had a total hysterectomy in 1997 at the age of 26 for Endometriosis, i had both ovaries removed and was only taking HRT for approx 12 months post operation because of problems with the patches causing me a rash. Last year i started to get some odd symptoms. I had a vague feeling of being unwell, hard to explain just would feel really weird. I would feel spaced out, light headed, generally unwell, exhausted, jittery, out of breath, feeling like my heart was racing, dizziness and feeling wobbly. Had a chest x-ray and ECG both normal. This year symptoms came back and would last for a couple of weeks at a time before going away for a few weeks. It has now been a month since i had my symptoms and i am feeling fine apart from getting tired a lot. Doctor diagnosed me with IBS because of severe right groin pain and bowel symptoms. Had an x-ray on abdomen all normal. However, a few weeks ago my G.P sent me for blood tests. I had a FBC, Thyroid, Liver, Calcium and glucose blood test. Went for results today and he said they are all ok except for the calcium which is hypercalcaemic and he wants to repeat that one. He is also concerned as my blood pressure is high. I am 39 years old. He has started me on Climaval Hrt, one a day and spoke about a Dexa Scan, and spoke a lot about my hysterectomy and whether i get any aches and pains which i do get bach ache, hip pain and have had Sciatica in the past. I have to wait nearly 3 weeks for an appontment for blood test and then another 2 weeks to see him for result. I had never heard of Hyercalcaemia and decided to google it when i got home and now i am absolutely terrified as every site i viewed said it was a symptom of cancer. I have been out of my mind with fear all morning and i do not have anyone i can talk to . Can anyone please help, are the sites correct and does my g.p suspect i have cancer? I wish now i had never had the blood tests.

Did I put in too much motor oil?

I have a '95 Z28 (LT1). The manual prescribes adding 5 quarts. I bought a 5qt jug of mobil 1. I poured the whole thing in. I drove it around to get it hot and get the new oil filter filled up, came back home, and let it sit for about 10 minutes. I checked it, and it's between 1/8 and 1/4 of an inch above the F line. Is this enough over to cause problems? When people talk about overfilling oil, do they mean that it's like a whole quart overfilled, and like 1-2 inches above the F line? Will going slightly over cause problems?

OK heres the thing. I have been diagnosed with clinical depression and have struggled with it all my life. My objection is people using the term to describe natural moments of feeling down and grief. I have found that many people confuse these things with actual clinical depression which isnt something that just goes away with time. I cant tell you how many times people have discovered my illness and said something like "youll get over it" or "cheer up". Does anyone else find the liberal use of the word annoying?

Sure there are women who want children and are unable to, and there are tons of children all over the world just waiting to be adopted...no matter the legal status of abortion there will always been women who can't have kids, and there will always been children needing to be adopted one doesn't actually have a lot to do with the other in my opinion...because of all those women who want children how many of them even want to adopt? How many of them are going to spend the time, money and emotion to adopt? Every single woman who can't have a child is not going to adopt, if i couldn't have children I certainly wouldn't adopt any. It is not a logical argument, it is more propaganda. I've said it over and again we all have the right to our opinions pro-choice and pro-lifers alike but i hate to see people just using propaganda instead of facts.

Why won't my puppy open his mouth?

i have three puppy english mastiffs that i inherited from a lady down the street. i was supposed to get one thursday but i got him last night. she gave one of the 7 puppies away to a new home. three of the puppies died of a three day span. now i have three sick puppies in my basement. we took them to the vet and the puppy that was supposed to be mine, Louie, has parvo. the vet hydrated all of the puppies and gave them diharrea medicine. he is pretty sure all oof the puppies have parvo. he said that louie's mouth specifically was setting and that he was gonna die soon. its been over 12 hours and two of the three are looking better. but louie's mouth is very hard to open. i have to pry it open to give him electrolyte water. is there anything i can do for my puppy other than a vaccine and electrolyte water? does this (his mouth is starting to "set") really mean he's going to die? is there a way to reverse this effect?

Can a squier be as good as a fender?

So here's the deal. I have a decent Fender Stratocaster that I love. However, sitting away in storage for years, I have a Squier Stratocaster that my mother bought my shortly before she ped away. It is approx. 1998 year. It is of sentimental value, and I know squier is fender's cheap beginners brand. But I just bought a vintage 1950s fender strat neck for it, and plan to put in a new loaded pickguard with lace sensor pickups in it. I know this may seem silly but this guitar is special to my just because it's from my beloved mother. I want to make it all that it can be. So uming I put in good pickups and with the 50's genuine fender neck, what else do I need to upgrade to make it a true fender and not a squier? Thanks!!!

I was pet sitting in a rather large 2 story house and had 3 min. schnauzers to look after. These dogs barked all of the time when outside, the owners insisted they get to go out and do as they please in their really big yard. So one day in the mail was a letter from one of the neighbors telling how frustrated they were with these dogs. It gave me a creepy feeling, but i went ahead with my day and would talk to the owners when they returned about it. About dark I was in the kitchen with them and we all heard this giant crash! the dogs went flying outside with me after them. Someone had pulled a giant wire dog cage and blocked their dog door then ran out threw the side gate leaving it open. What an awful feeling to know someone was watching the house and trying to stop the dogs from getting out. It was a very sleepless night inside a big house that made alot of noise anyway. Very Scary!!

The whole mess that started with our former tenant/friend who abandoned our property without paying or emptying the property, returning keys, etc and moved out of state. He also has a child that lives in this area with her mother and when he moved out of state and said he had no money for timely child support, she petitioned for sole custody and child support. When asked by the mom's attorneys, we gave a sworn statement that attested to the baby items were abandoned on the property. And subsequently, we gave statements to them that we were receiving messages from him saying "please kill me and put me out of my misery. i'll reimburse you for the ammo.." and "it's your fault i don't see my daughter" and things along those lines. We haven't made contact with him since he left the house more than 5 months ago (what's the point, he'll never pay us back) and we haven't responded to his repeated calls and messages except once a month ago where my husband told him that he's an jerk and just leave us alone. Recently, he's moved back to the state and the calls are just becoming unbearable. For example, last week we got 25 calls in a two hour period. They started up the next morning at 7 am. Then he sends text messgaes calling my husband and me explitive names. I don't have the money to get an attorney, but was thinking that at least I could write my own cease and desist letter in terms of the calls and messgaes as a starting off point. Luckily things have been quiet for serveral days. Will that help down the line if this escalates?

I agree with the other writers here. It has gone far too far and has done so (been doing so) for far too long. I sometimes wonder what drives the whole process - is it the "disadvantaged group" complaining about certain words and practices who are caved in to by spineless mealy-mouthed bureaucrats (yeah, i know, "spineless", "mealy-mouthed" and "bureaucrat" is redundant) or is it driven by the other side of the coin, well-meaning do-gooders who think "the group" MIGHT be disadvantaged or feel unfairly put-upon and so act proactively to prevent perceived hurt feelings? Either way, 1) there is too much wrong with this world to be burning so much energy worrying about vocabulary and 2) being tolerant in allowing them (whoever "they" may be) to have their language, rites, respect for their ethnicity and so forth shouldn't mean, much less does it necessarily mean, we have to denigrate or sacrifice our own.

You just have to work on boosting your metabolism again. A lot of your problem might be psychological though. When you eat a lot it might cause you to feel fat even though you really aren't. And when you eat small and walk every where you feel healthy and skinny. Being 5 foot 2, 117 pounds is a beautiful weight. I am so proud of you for fighting your anorexia. It's a long struggle but you can do it. Never give up on yourself.

North Carolina Bermuda Gr Help Please?

I live near Raleigh NC...we sodded our house late last summer (Sept 2006) with Bermuda, and until the cold hit, it looked great and thrived. I was expecting it to green up faster by this time (late May 2007), but it's still very patchy. A local greenskeeper advised me to put down some 10-10-10, which I did a few weeks ago. I've also watered every few days to battle the lack of rain. But to be honest I have not seen any big difference. Is it still too early to expect a more substantially green bermuda lawn? Some say more water is needed due to drought, but we sodded bermuda due to that fact, and because our lawn gets a lot of sun. Thanks so much for any advice in advance!

Turkish March Question?

I'm learning the song Sonata in A, K.331, Third Movement, aka Rondo Alla Turca, or The Turkish March, by Mozart. I'm having trouble at the part about 3/4 through the song where it goes from a4 or a5, I don't know which one it is, and it goes a-a an octave higher, b-b an octave higher, c#-c# an octave higher, and so on. I can reach the octaves and play them easily earlier on in the song, but I have a bit of trouble jumping from one note to an octave higher. Could someone give me some tips please? Thanks.
